If You are a tourist, of course You want to visit the famous and familiar landmarks, listed in travel brochures and guidebooks. It is certainly cool! See with your own eyes the masterpieces of world architecture, sculpture of famous artists. To get acquainted with the cultural traditions and customs of the country.

Strolling through the city you can see beautiful buildings. You see them decorated with columns, moldings, Bay Windows, numerous sculptures and architectural details. Have you ever wondered what lies behind those beautiful facades?

You see a lot of arches, which go far inside of the yards. What is hidden behind these iron gates?

St. Petersburg courtyards is a special kind of travel. First, they are not always closed. And anyone can freely walk or drive inside.

Once inside you may wonder how long and winding they are. Entering from the street , and after passing through this courtyard, you can go to another street or even several streets. St. Petersburg courtyards is a whole maze of passages. So it is possible to pass from one tunnel to another, from one arch to another.

Of course You will see a very different view of the inside of these arches and transitions. Here you will not see the pomp, grace and grandeur.

Many of the buildings are old and require a lot of repair. All renovations are in accordance with the urban plan of priorities for capital repairs of buildings. But people live here.

The tenants of these houses are trying to make here are their yards more attractive, comfortable and clean.

Вы видите множество арок, которые уходят далеко внутрь дворов. Что скрыто за этими чугунными воротами?
Питерские дворы - это особый вид путешествия. Во-первых они не всегда закрыты. И любой человек может беспрепятственно пройти или проехать внутрь. Попав во внутрь вы можете удивиться на сколько длинными и извилистыми они бывают. Войдя с улицы , и пройдя по такому двору, можно выйти на другую улицу или даже несколько улиц. Питерские дворы - это целые лабиринты переходов. Так можно проходить из одного тоннеля в другой, из одной арки в другую.
Конечно Вы увидите совсем другой вид внутри этих арок и переходов. Здесь вы не увидите той помпезности, изящества и великолепия. Многие здания старые и требуют большого ремонта. Все реконструкции происходят в соответствии с городским планом очерёдности на капитальный ремонт зданий. Но и здесь живут люди.
Жильцы этих домов стараются сделать вот такие свои дворы более привлекательными, уютными и ухоженными.
Например, давайте заглянем в этот двор. Вам любопытно?
Мы видим баннер с изображением картинок из жизни старого Петербурга.
А если Вы поднимите голову, то увидите трубочиста, который спускается с крыши. Эта редкая на вид профессия сохранилась и до наших дней. Говорят, что увидеть трубочиста это большая удача. Потому, что они приносят счастье. Загадайте желание!
Дальше идём в другой весёлый дворик. Он называется "Птичий дворик". Здесь тоже всё выполнено руками самих жильцов этого дома. Так красиво.
Конечно же всё зависит от нас самих. В каких условиях мы хотим жить. И не обязательно быть художником или скульптором. Можно просто посадить деревья и цветы. И отдыхать в своём дворе от шума городских улиц.
Вот ещё один креативный двор. Он весь оформлен граффити. Выглядит очень необычно. И настроение поднимает. Видимо здесь в этом дворе проживает больше молодёжной публики.
А вот мозаичный двор. Здесь рядом есть мастерская скульпторов и художников. И они вместе со своими учениками решили таким способом украсить внутреннее пространство двора.
