Diddy was arrested in September of 2024 and was initially facing indictments for sex trafficking, conspiracy racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. by the end of October that same year, he had been hit with 14 more lawsuits, with one accuser claiming the rapper revenge raped her because she had suggested he was involved in the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur
The other law suits dealt with rape and strangultion accusations, and they were all tossed due to a legal issue. The attorny who filed them did not have a license to practice law in the Southern District of New York, which incidentally is well known for tossing good cases. It is where everyone who is anyone goes to get out of jail free.
P Diddy's trial ended a couple months ago with a split decision: not guilty on five major counts of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, but convicted on the lesser Mann Act violations tied to 2010 events involving Ventura and another woman known as 'Jane'. He said, "I didn't mean to hurt you Jane." in an obligatory appology.
Sentencing took place this month. He was sentenced to four years, but will get out early due to the time he has already spent in jail since 2024. He is in custody, and has remained confined to the Special Housing Unit in Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center, where he has been since his arrest.
It is amazing to watch these kinds of seemingly light consequences for what we had all seen and heard on line. I am not saying that we saw evidence but some of it was pretty dirty and very convincing.
