My Friends. / Tea, ink and Watercolor Painting
Ink, tea stains, and watercolor on textured watercolor paper
By Adida Fallen Angel
This piece is an unapologetic celebration of freedom in expression, a visual jazz solo played with ink, pigment, and spontaneity. Created in a flow state, the brush moved almost on its own, like a wandering spirit uncovering hidden gems buried inside the paper.
Using tea stains as both background and texture, I wanted to create a sense of organic imperfection, a living map where accidental spills become part of the story.
Watercolors add bursts of warmth and chaos, and the ink linework dances between abstraction and playful character work.
It's a piece where faces, creatures, and symbols emerge not by force, but by invitation, as if the paper whispered them into being.
"My Friends" isn't meant to be understood at once. It's meant to be explored, to remind us that the most beautiful parts of ourselves are often revealed when we stop trying to control the outcome.
