WHEN BAD DOES GOOD
Chris Cornell has been a part of my life since the early grunge days. Back when the world felt heavier, when teenage angst and growing pains clashed with something deeper, something I couldn’t yet put into words.
Temple of the Dog, Nirvana, Soundgarden, STP, Alice in Chains, Audioslave, Pearl Jam, Mad Season, Mother Love Bone. This music wasn’t just a soundtrack. It was a lifeline. Chris had this way of pouring raw emotion into every note, making the darkness feel understood. His voice carried all the weight I didn’t know how to express. The confusion, the rage, the sorrow, the beauty of being alive despite it all.
His music helped me through my own depression. When things got rough, those songs reminded me that I wasn’t alone. That the pain was real, but so was the strength to keep going. And that’s why his passing still hits hard. It makes you think. If someone like him, who gave so much, who seemed to understand the depths of human emotion, still struggled, then we need to talk about this more.
We have to talk about our emotions. We have to be there for each other. No one should feel like they have to carry their burdens alone. If you are struggling, please reach out.
Chris is gone, but his music, his message, and his voice live on.
