Here’s my latest master copy of Jules Joseph Lefebvre’s "Nymph with Morning Glory Flowers".

Greetings fellow Steemians!

In today’s post I thought I’d share and discuss my latest master copy painting of Jules Joseph Lefebvre’s "Nymph with Morning Glory Flowers".

I admit that this particular master copy has been sitting in the corner for quite some time now gathering dust...almost calling out to me to finish it.

I remember discovering his work during my time spent in the atelier and immediately falling in love with it. After that began a large series of master copies of his paintings attempting to learn as much as I can in how he worked.

This master copy reduced in size (it’s about 8” x 10”) I enjoyed doing very much.

I noticed that it demanded a little different way in working that I am accustomed to. It was painted thinly with several passes, except for the general area around the shoulder and the light raking down the arm. This section required a tactile building of opaque lights.

The palette I used for this work was titanium white, cadmium yellow light, yellow ocher, cadmium red, venetian red, ultramarine blue, and ivory black.

..I hope you like it! :)

Please feel free to let me know what you think?

Thanks for reading Everyone!
