RE: Making Genuine Rose Petal Clay Beads
Great step by step on making the rose petal beads! I made some about 20 years ago and appreciated the time and patience required to really be a maker.
If you use them as a rosary bead, the warmth of your hands releases a bit of the scent so you are a delicate cloud of roses.
Ahh, yes you know then...I have only met a few people who have made them too. Where did you learn?
They do smell lovely, I have a pendant my gram made me and it still has a light scent when I wear it...
From an old cookbook/housekeeping book from the 1800's... I was part of a part time rose garden crew and hated just composting so many of them. Potpourri was one of our projects too, but you can only use so much of it.
Oh neat! I didn't know there was a written recipe, that is great!
I'm not sure where the book is anymore, a lot of my grandmother's cookbooks and such are currently boxed up for now... Will post it when I find it! Time for a treasure hunt.
