Thank you. Usually, my process is creating art and having that process in spire the poem. In this case, I sketched the Grim Reaper many – many, many, many, many, ad nauseam – embarrassingly too "many" years ago for some set design or other for a Halloween skit in college.
This twisted nursery rhyme was inspired by the funereal discordant refrain of the classic "Frére Jaques" cum "Bruder Martin" in Gustav Mahler's "Third Movement" of his "Symphony No. 1 in D Major."
