I am quite fond of owls, so I very much enjoyed this post! I didn't realize some of the historical connections, especially the link to fertility. My favorite tattoo that I have gotten is my owl made up of fruits and veggies, and it is the one I get comments on most often. I look forward to seeing your finished piece!
