Floating island. Acrylic.
It is an island floating in the sea of consciousness. I like this kind of painting. I don't know what style I will be painting in. I imagine realism, the pictorial style. I used twelve brushes. On a canvas. I painted directly on the canvas as it came from the factory. So the experience was like any new experience.
I used brown, cerulean blue, viridian, titanium white, turquoise, black, orange. The finest is number one, of which I used two for details. 1 stretched canvas 11 x 14 inches.
I liked creating this particular painting, I think I could create whole series of floating islands. Islands in imaginary spaces. Islands blurred. Islands. Islands to infinity. I used many more brushes than I normally use. It was a pleasant experience. I lost a little bit the fear of precision. Giving a little looseness to the strokes, that should always be a good initiative. Let the feelings flow. Let's see where the lines and colorful strokes of life take us.
Leave me a comment. Thanks for stopping by the art lab.

11 x 14 I wouldn't call small. I have 8 x 8 centimeters ot so 🤣 still not used it by the way
At the time I will, I am too blind to see the details but I can always paint them: black, yellow and red because you are using all the blue.
I wonder if the shop is changing into a gallery.
An island in the sea of consious?
Who gave that title?
Is the island the inly security or steady ground left in a sea that reflects and can contain everything or nothing, flushes and rinses except for what is on the island? A bit huge and old fashioned building, thick walls and cold inside. Medieval - 1700? Abandoned and not much room to enjoy except if you jump into the ocean and take a swim...with sharks I assume 🤔
Still waters have deep grounds. Everything is still and I wonder where the consciousness went. I like the last photo more because it leaves room for awareness, to grow, build, see the dept, who knows those lines are colourful coral riffs, fishes and pelicans... Fantasy, wishes, dreams coming true.
♥️🍀
Althougg, you painted trees and bushes there's no life. It's more like an monestry at the end if their days, at most one person lefr whose body no one will find and the water is eating the island. Like we call it: vergane glorie.
It makes me said.
The reflection is better, the rocks, nature instead of the hands of hunan species leaving traces but who knows the island of one who painted it is more like a prison and the concious longs fir raw, rocks and nature, no garden of Eden.
♥️🍀
Unfortunately, I only see the first picture, the others don't open. Something has been happening with our platform lately and I don't like it.
But the first picture is enough for me...
when I take photos, I sometimes take photos with reflections. I like your idea of reflection inversion. Thanks to you, I got the idea to take a similar picture directly on the matrix. I'll have to use double exposure and different manipulations with the tripod and camera... it's quite difficult, but I have to try :)
We have an expression: "My house is my fortress." Looking at the third painting, I thought about exactly this :)
Great job!
================
You always get motivation with like-minded people. If you find yourself in a group of soccer players, you're sure not to be motivated to paint, some unlikely photograph. If you are in a beautiful afternoon with some friends, with good coffee. Talking about art, photography, images, common places, the spark is ignited. You can be sure. I look forward to seeing the new projects.
🖐 😊 👌
I hope you're right ;)
