My Flower Entry: The Lantern-Like Beauty of Physalis | Flower Contest Week 21

Hi everyone
This is my entry for Week 21 of the Flower Contest hosted by @marcoteixeira. I took this photo from my dad's farm, and I wanted to share the beauty of this interesting plant called Physalis, some people call it ground cherry or cape gooseberry.

This flower caught my attention because of the way the flower is still hiding inside this papery green cover, like a lantern. The husk is light green with thin purple veins, and you can see a bright yellow flower bud starting to peek out. It’s like it is hiding waiting for the right time to open up.

I didn’t even know this plant had such beautiful stages until I saw it up close. Nature really knows how to wrap up its gifts in style.

What I love about it:

• The husk looks like it was hand-drawn, those purple lines are so detailed.

• The leaves are fresh and healthy, and after some rain, everything looks even more alive.

• The flower has not fully opened yet, but that makes it even more beautiful.

I will love to invite @sampson01, @us-andrew and @bessie2023 to participate in this contest.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my post. And big thanks to @marcoteixeira for organizing this contest.
