Let's start with a question. Have you ever wondered why children have milk teeth only to lose them later🤔. Why not just grow the strong permanent teeth from start...why must something come only to fall off later just for some other thing to replace it🤷. I mean, I know why, but sometimes I just marvel at the wisdom in the design. I mean milk teeth are small and gentle set of teeth, perfectly fitted for a child's tiny jaw and tender gum, but as the child grows the demand grows as well. The jaw expands, the appetite increases, those tiny teeth that were once enough cannot handle the future. So nature makes them fall off, as a preparation for something permanent.

And that scenario mirrors life, there are seasons where what you have is sufficient, the beginners skill, the basic mindset, but great seasons demands great replacements. If you try to carry milk teeth into adulthood, they will shatter under the pressure, that's why in life somethings must fall away and give way for others to be utilized.

Now it doesn't mean that they are useless, don't get me wrong. It just mean that they are temporary. The friendships that fit your childhood may not fit your destiny. The mindset that sustained your survival may not sustain your success. The deeper truth is that greatness always demand a replacement, not just enlargement. You don't stretch what you had, you shed for something stronger, that's why transition is often painful.

I would take an instance in my self

This drawing you are seeing is what I drew 5 months ago. Due to my beginner's mindset, it was perfect but to be professional...I got to do better.

These are drawings of when I first realized there is what we call shading in drawing. I'm not a pro yet...but me seeing this, I won't believe I did it...but following my basic mindset about drawing,it was nice.

This are the progress and done shots of my most recent work...I'm still growing and I would get there one day...it's just about time.

Take a good picture in the scenario of a snake trying to grow taller, it let's go off the older body scale in order to grow longer and larger .You losing your milk teeth, it feels like a loss, but it is an exchange for something more permanent.

Something might be good for your now but dangerous for your next. What carried you here may not be able to carry you further and letting go of what was, is often making room for what will be. So don't cling too tight to your milk teeth, they were never meant to last a lifetime, they were just to prepare your life for something more permanent.

So I guess, we shouldn't mourn the tooth that we lost rather we should be celebrating the jaw that is expanding.

We shouldn't mourn the friends that we lost rather we should be celebrating the clients and investor that we are meeting.

thanks for reading.🙇‍♂️

It would be good if you read the rules of this community and use the right hashtags.
Keep in mind that we are for and about artists and in average reading is not what people do a lot.
If you improved in such a short time it's awesome, but it would be good if what you wrote fits more to what you show and you find a way that people get curious, read what you write and will also see your drawings.

Please, change your hashtags! The first of this community is #artonsteemit the next is #drawing

Note: if you post will not be edited on short term it will be muted.
