Prince with Purple Rain
Hello everyone this is actually my first time engaging in such contest in this community, I had to make a very quick inaginary drawing, more like an abstract portrait work. I title this piece “ Man dont cry “ Often times we are told to be a man and always bottle up our emotions, but deep down we want to pour our feelings out, but no one gives us that listening ear. Women will say I love it when my man is vulnerable to be or cry in my presence or tells me what goes on inside his mind, but the reality is it’s only few women who actually mean this, they are not even up to 2 percent If I am not mistaken, this same women will tear you apart, manipulate you and at the end they will tag you as a weak man, I often say this to mean if you are battling with a pain or struggle confide in a brother you can trust, never invest your emotions to a woman she will use it against you at a point you never expected, it is even better to help a brother in some cases than help a woman, because when a man is broke or he is in need he doesn’t run to a woman, because a woman may turn him down. So this is just an indication to be there for your brothers just as your are there for other women. Don’t hate women but treat them accordingly because their woman nature can kick against you at anytime.
Sounds as if you live in the wrong country. It's a difference if you tell what's on your mind, share your feelings or cry non stop. No one likes a drama king just like you don't like a drama queen, someone crying every 5 munutes. It's simply exhausting and drains your energy.
Women don't run to a man except when he has feelings or is gay. You want to know why?
Because they always feel the need to give solutions and "advice" the kind they would never practise themselves. It must be a DNA thing that men are unable to simply listen without giving not asked for tips.
I like the drawing, it has something even without the words bitterness and confusion can be felt plus some anger. Plenty of feelings.

I'm not sure if this can be qualified as an entry, as there isn't much purple here. I used an amethyst geode as a prop for my rosary photoshoot. I bought a lightbox specifically for this purpose, as it takes away all the shadows for a much clearer shot.
My photography skills aren't much to be desired, as I usually don't take a full shot of things because I want to hide certain imperfections. Other than the off-center product, I'm quite satisfied with everything else in this photo. The white background really brings out the rosary, and the amethyst geode seems to have taken its place as a co-star, too.
I count it although it doesn't look too purple due to all the white. At first I thought it was a black and white shoot.
I believe I would have placed the hangers on the table and the rosary pearls over the amethyst.

I almost missed this one. I was browsing through my phone, remembering I had one with amethysts, but I browsed past it because, well, it felt black and white. I like your suggestion. Maybe when I'm taking a new batch in the future.

It's strange how we forget the colours we have.

it's not difficult. Just take a photo of a hat and wallet and post it as a comment. Next you mention: hat, wallet and and something else we can see on your photo.

I think I don't use purple very often; I should try it. I'm better with words. I have a purple sky, starry, covered with pelicans during the day. I can paint the sky, some snow. Leaves that don't quite freeze. Or I could keep hauling firewood. I already have each piece marked and labeled in different colors.
I noticed yesterday that I don't have purple paint. I can see if I can mix some today.
You can also dig up some purple artist.

Purple is a good color, but I think it's underused in art. Almost all painters, I think, and this is my interpretation, are experimenting so much that they're trying to use fewer colors, fewer combinations. I wouldn't like to see the paintings invisible. Like the fable of the king in his invisible suit. We have hundreds of incredible color combinations. Why not use them? Well, no one has the absolute truth about anything, least of all art. You can die peacefully and your paintings will be worth a lot, five centuries later.
Purple is actually black and some red. Real black is rarely used simply because it's too much. I thought about the last times I used purple, most likely I made it myself. Blue and red or something, just some mix. Did I tell you my child had a purple room? I have a purple plaid and 2 purple cushions, big ones.
How about purple pelicans? Purple spots? Purple eye... the one a boxer hit?
