I'd have to say No based on the recent Beta test. The product does not match the target audience and is too complex for a wider audience. Late Q4 2017 to early Q1 2018 is the closest I could see the MVP being delivered to market.
Will be a winner if they get it right though!!

Do you think Augur will be drowned out by Gnosis? I totally don't get why GNT is so popular and hot at the moment. I know the guys got lots of grants and have great skillz, but I don't get what is so amazing about it.
Augur is more straightforward I reckon. It's definitely a race between the two! Let's hope REP wins out!
From what I understand the main difference is how the results are determined, where Gnosis uses a centralized oracle while Augur uses "the crowd" as an oracle. And the GNO token has no use while the REP token is necessary to be part of that oracle "crowd" and thus be able to earn money. Next strange thing is, that Gnosis team has only handed out like 10% of their tokens thus limiting the supply to an extreme, where REP is nearly completely distributed apart from a very small part for the team & founders. So at least for me a lot is shady about Gnosis but pretty much is open and legit with Augur. So just from these points I strongly lean towards Augur, while being aware that in this crypto craze ANYTHING can happen ;-)
thanks iarumas. I always get my GNTs and GNOs mixed up! Great information. I don't know an awful lot about GNO, but my intuition tells me it's almost too flash and too little substance to be of real value. I know EOS is similar in that way, but I have faith in the person who helped create Steemit.
haha, yeah there are definitely too many abbreviations/coins out there ;-) I just recently started to gather information about EOS with flashy headlines such as "the project that will destroy Ethereum" ^^
