So the issue I have with autovote is some people post a lot and some posts are much better then others. So when I put these people on autovote I cap it at 1 vote per day, but so often I end up voting on the post I would have skipped and then I feel the need to still vote for the good post.
I get the time savings and to make sure to always reward certain people, but overall I'm leaning more and more towards dropping the few people I have on autovote and sticking to manual curation.
but if you are going to do it make sure to cap the # of posts per 24 hours. Also I would suggest using a lower percentage then 100% for this. It only makes sense if you are thinking there are 20 or so people (per your reply that has already been made). You don't have the VP to cover the 20 and what if you run into other quality content?
I use steemdunk and it's pretty much flawless at voting exactly when it's supposed to. I like that I can set 0 minute upvotes for those I'm trying to really boost. Have used that for a few brand new people to make sure they got to keep the entire vote.
I'll take these points for consideration, thanks for the tips @thedarkhorse. This is just an experiment, I'll play around with a few different things and eventually find the balance point.
