There was it, standing tall and high flaunting clothes of all those he ate. Yes he ate so many people that I stood there, gazing and scaring from it. My mother used to tell me when I was little and would not eat vegetables - 'The big tree will eat you, it eat all those kids who does not eat vegatables.'. My mother's mantra always worked and I ate all those silly vegetables she made me eat. I grew up just fine with strong bones and healthy body. My mother used to tell everyone that big tree is the reason that my daughter grew up strong and ate all the vegetables. But little did she know that I grew up strong physically but emotionally I was still scared of the big tree and ate all the yucky boring vegetables. One day, one fine day I decided I will not eat vegetables today, go to big tree and see for myself if it will really just eat me. Eat my big body and end of my story.

I woke up in morning, all dressed ready to be eaten by the big tree. I took a taxi to the big tree's location. Just when I stepped out of the taxi, I started shivering and fears of all kinds circled my mind. But I scolded myself and commanded 'No you face the big tree today girl, do it. I went to the big tree and stood there. I started with a feeble voice - 'Hey Big tree, I did not eat vegetables today'.

Closed my eyes and thought I will be dead in a few seconds.

Minutes passed, nothing happened.

I felt weird and it was all silent around.

I spoke up again holing my voice together, a bit louder this time.

'Hey big tree, I did not eat vegetables today, I hate them.'

Nothing happened.

Feeling disrespected by now. I started shouting on big tree.

'Hey you eat me eat me now. I am not scared of you.'

Shouted for minutes continuously and louder everytime.

A lady came from the sides and looked at me weirdly and said 'What the hell are you doing?'

I said 'I am talking to the big tree who scared me and made me eat vegetables.'

The lady laughed hard and said 'Keep shouting because nothing would happen, its just a tree.'

She went away.

I stood there looking at myself and the tree. The only thing that popped up in my mind next is 'I better call mom'. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
