Parbatipur is the city of railways. Parbatipur is the railway junction. The Parbatipur running set is built around the Parbatipur railway junction and the Parbatipur diesel locomotive factory is located next to it. The engines running in the railway fleet are repaired here in this factory.

This bridge, surrounded by a very quiet wall, has a locomotive workshop. Skilled employees repair engines. All engine repairs are done hereThere are several sections in the diesel locomotive factory, including the mechanical section, reconditioning section, mechanical schedule, electrical section, motor section, traction section, millwright and store depot.

After the repair, the locomotive is waiting to leave the workshop to engage in passenger service. Locomotives of this series are attached to intercity trains, such as the Panchagarh Express departing from Panchagarh towards Dhaka. The engines are changed at Parbatipur Railway Junction and this diesel locomotive is sent to the loco running set after repair from the factory.

^Tubewell

Tubewells are very abandoned and our work is going on. At one time, railway workers used to drink water like this. A tubewell that is almost a hundred years old can still be repaired with a little bit of work. When water tanks were less used on the railways, they were very much appreciated.

All the trains departing from Dhaka such as Kurigram Express towards Kurigram, Chilahati Express towards Chilahati, Panchagarh Express towards Panchagarh, Ekta Express, Purtiyan Express and Rajshahi-bound Titumir Express, Barendra Express and Khulna-bound Rupsha Express and Simanta Express are also local trains. All the trains' engines are changed at Parbatipur Railway Junction. If any mechanical fault is found in these engines, they are first taken to the hidden running shed, then if there is any minor problem, it is repaired from the running shed and if there is no major problem, then it is sent to the Parbatipur Diesel Locomotive Factory.

The Parbatipur DJ Locomotive Factory was once full of manpower. Now the factory is somehow running with a small number of manpower, but it is a very important locomotive factory for the railway.
