The Parbatipur loco set is the largest and first loco set in the northern region.What do we mean by a locoset? A locoset is a place for the repair and maintenance of locomotives or engines.

Parbatipur Loco Shed Rahmat Nagari Railway Kalnighire Engine repair work is done here for all the trains running in the northern part of Bangladesh.The main job of this locomotive is to transport oil and dirt, the workers work day and night to keep the engine of this railway running.

I actually went to the loco set in the afternoon due to which it was dark and I could not take good pictures but this loco set plays the most important role in the railway arena, there are several sections like body section under gear section engine section tuck section and electric section

We call the loco engine driver a locomaster, a locomaster drives the rail at high speed.The engines are repaired with great care. In this set, the idle engines become active with the tireless work of a group of skilled workers.

Parbatipur loco set is the busiest loco set here all the time the loco engine is always being repaired and is included in the passenger service.All the engines that have trouble since Ishwardi, all the engines that have trouble going towards Panchagarh via Parbatipur All the engines that run towards Chilahati are changed into loco sets at Parbatipur.

Diamond crossings are not commonly seen. These intersections are mainly for engine entry in both directions.Parbatipur is a railway city. Most of the land in Parbatipur is railway land.
