Parbatipur Rahmat Nagar water tank was originally built during the British period by the Parbatipur Railway Factory and Railway Loco Shed and Diesel Locomotive Factory.This water tank was installed by the then British government to provide water for the daily work of the people who worked in the Lok Shed and Diesel Locomotive Factory located in

At that time, the Indian Railways employees used this water tank to meet their water needs. The number of railway employees in Parbatipur was about 5000.And this tank provided water to all these people. At that time, the railway employees lived a very helpless life. They had a lot of water shortage in their daily lives.And to celebrate this night, the British government contracted with a company in Calcutta and installed this water tank in 1933.

This water tank holds 2,000 gallons of water.This water tank is made very strong. This water tank is made by all the railway lines and railway lines. It is located in Rahmat Nagar as well as in the vicinity of Parbatipur and the railway colony. It used to supply water to all the places.This railway water tank still stands proudly.
