Holy place #18 - Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Pusok Lapulapu City

Welcome to Our Lady of Fatima Parish

Our Lady of Fatima Parish Church is a Roman Catholic under the Archdiocese of Cebu and Marian church located in Pusok, Lapulapu City, Cebu, Philippines. Its second patron is St. Vincent Ferrer.

2 Samuel 7:29

Now therefore, let it please You to bless the house of Your servant, that it may continue before You forever; for You, O Lord God, have spoken it, and with Your blessing let the house of Your servant be blessed forever.”

Location

It is located at Matumbok-Pusok Road, Pusok, Lapu-lapu City, Cebu 6015 , Philippines. The building is inside the village, but you can see the upper part of the church when at the highway at the back of the Sea Oil gas ⛽ station.

Not much known to public unless you are a local in the the Barangay. The narrow little uphill road will take you to the village and on the right side about 100 steps away you will reach it. Ask people selling barbeque at the entrance of the road. They will point ☝️ it out for you.

Facade

It is a three floored building with a basement for car parking. The ground floor which there is path going to the church. The Fatima image at the entrance is greeting us to come in. You can either choose the way to enter and exit by going a slightly up by staircase from the left side or at the right side. The upper floor seems like the convent with a railed rooftop.

The main hall is equipped with long wood chairs facing the altar which has four columns and a high ceilings. The center is Jesus on the cross and the huge Our Lady Fatima replica is adorn with flowers.

Facilities

The office is at the right wing of the church as you exit the main hall. You can also see the the blue stairs going the restroom 🚻. The parish gym is at the left side of the building down to the car exit.

Candlelighting Area

It is our practice to light 🕯️ candles and pray 🙏 wholeheartedly. It is always a part of being a Catholic. We light candles and this area next to the office is quiet and peaceful.

Feast Day Celebration

The feast of St. Vincent Ferrer falls on every month of May. Meanwhile, the feast day of Our Lady of Fatima is on October 13.
