Holy place #17 - "Rajshahi University Central Mosque, Rajshahi"
Hello Ladies & Gentlemen. Welcome to steem-atlas. I am here to participate in this Contest! 1001 Holy Places on the Steem Atlas Map #17 contest organized by our steematlas ambassador @miftahulrizky. I will review the Central Mosque of Rajshahi University.
One of the attractions of Rajshahi city is Rajshahi University, it is known as an important place for successful people. Educational institutions are of the highest level, so we can see various monuments there. The only monument of this university is the University Central Mosque. There is a road from Rajshahi University to the east which ends directly in front of the mosque. Seeing this mosque from a distance gives a feeling of sacred moments.
The mosque has a huge dome on its top, which surrounds two complete mosques. There are numerous flower gardens around the mosque where beautiful flowers are growing. If you stand in front of that mosque, you will feel the cold wind. However, a signboard has been placed there by the mosque committee, which says that no flowers or fruits can be plucked from the mosque garden.
We went at noon for Zuhr prayers so there were a lot of people there who work in the university. You must take off your shoes before entering the mosque because cleanliness is paramount. There is a special shoe rack there, you can keep your shoes outside the mosque or inside the mosque. There are separate boxes for storing shoes which are set outside and inside the mosque.
Entering the mosque, you will see a huge veranda with many pillars. There are many fans in the veranda of the mosque, if it gets hot, those fans are turned on. There is a shoe box next to each pillar. The floor of the mosque is made entirely of tiles and stones. If you go forward from here, you will see a huge gate through which you enter the main side of the mosque. Next to this gate, there is a huge room with a prayer schedule. There are two doors where it is written: Entrance One and Entrance Two.
After entering inside, on the right side you can see the electrical site where electrical maintenance is done. Since this is a modern mosque, all the electrical lines are stored on a maintenance side. Powerful switches are set here which are used to turn on the fan and lights. There is a mark on the switch off fan. You can see the high voltage battery which is the IPS battery. If for some reason the power is disconnected then the entire mosque is supplied with power through IPS.
Before standing for prayer, I saw huge lights overhead which carry beauty and give light from evening to night. The lighting system has been operated very smoothly and the fans overhead have been decorated very beautifully. There are large windows on both sides of the mosque. However, those windows have been permanently attached to the wall so that no thief from outside can steal anything from inside.
There are small boxes in front of the window where the Quran and holy books are kept. Also, under the window you can see the box where the shoes are kept. Now if you look at the front of the mosque, everything has been set up very neatly. A line has been made properly for hundreds of people to stand together. In the middle, the main part of the mosque has been made with gold-colored stones. Where people pray standing and sitting. So we prayed there on time. Air conditioning is installed so that if you stay inside for a while on a hot day, you will feel cold. When we went inside from the intense heat, our bodies were completely cooled. There was a high quality AC fitted there.
After going outside, I went to the toilet to see what the sanitary system inside was like. The toilet inside was very clean and tidy. The doors to the toilet were made of hard wood and painted red. There was enough water and a basin for washing hands. A little further from here is the ablution room where ablution is done before prayers. There was a special arrangement for ablution, where you can do ablution sitting down. After lifting it up, there was a towel to wipe your hands and face. Also, if you are thirsty for water, you can drink mineral water from there, which is completely purified. The completely clear water comes out through a machine that cannot be stored, but you can sit and drink it here.
There were beautiful flowers and fruit trees all around the mosque, which were blooming beautifully. This mosque is a great place to relax your mind. If you ever visit Rajshahi University, you should definitely visit this mosque because here you can pray in a clean environment and enjoy the beauty of the mosque. If for some reason a fire breaks out right now, there is a fire extinguisher here to put it out. My cousin and I took a selfie there.
