Damselfly : A Graceful Flier

in Beauty of Creativity18 days ago

Damselfly is an areal insect. It belongs to the suborder Zygoptera. This species commonly found near the water and sometime we can also find them in the bush. I found these damselflies near the ponds where they were a bit busy during the late afternoon which made me play hide and seek to take proper shots from the closest range. I found it just this late afternoon on the twig, and I thought that would be easy for me to catch while being with something in its mouth. This damselfly was probably out of its range during the twentieth century but has brought benefits within its kind over the last few decades from conservation management aimed at increasing open fen vegetation. This typical damselfly usually stop in one place while patrolling the prey and after that it would return to the same spot. it was not quite active in the daylight. After spending some time, I was finally able to capture some pictures of this fascinating species of winged insect.
