A timeless interior where heritage breathes through every detail

Hello Steemians,

Some days stay engraved forever. The wedding of my dear friends Dali and Farah was one of those full of warmth, laughter, and light, celebrated in the magical setting of Dar Bouraoui in Carthage.

First Impressions Dar Bouraoui, Carthage

Inside Dar Bouraoui arches, soft light, and the calm of traditional Tunisian architecture.

Dar Bouraoui is a charming traditional house in Carthage, one of the most historic and peaceful areas near the sea.
It mixes old Tunisian style white walls, blue doors, mosaic floors with a gentle modern touch.
When I entered, I felt the quiet pulse of the place: the sound of water from the fountain, the smell of jasmine in the courtyard, and sunlight moving slowly across the tiles.

The Wedding Dali & Farah

The ceremony was simple and beautiful.
Friends, family, and music filled every room with life.
Dali and Farah looked completely at peace the kind of happiness that doesn’t need to shout.
Between laughter, songs, and small emotional moments, everyone felt part of something gentle and real.

Mirror Moments

A mirror selfie inside Dar Bouraoui capturing both reflection and feeling.

Later in the evening, I found myself near a large antique mirror the kind framed with carved wood.
I took a quick selfie. In the glass, I saw the lights, the music behind me, and the glow of joy around.
It was one of those photos that freeze not just an image, but an emotion: being present, grateful, and happy to share that night.

About Dar Bouraoui (Heritage and Atmosphere)

Dar Bouraoui is part of the Carthage heritage a traditional villa converted into a cultural and event space.
Its charm lies in the balance between simplicity and elegance: wide arches, whitewashed walls, and a garden where the sea breeze finds its way in.

It often hosts art exhibitions, weddings, and intimate gatherings. Every corner tells a story, and the architecture itself feels like a silent guest to every celebration.
If you love Tunisian heritage, this house is a perfect example of how history can live gently in the present.
