Nalka Mor Flyover and Bridge Through My Lens 📸

in Beauty of Creativity7 days ago
Hello friends, how are you all? I hope you are all well.I am very well.

This morning, as I made my way from the dusty town road down toward my ancestral home in the village, I was greeted by two striking pieces of infrastructure Nalka Mor Flyover and the adjacent Nalka Bridge both caught in the gentle light of a late summer afternoon. I couldn’t resist stopping to capture their quiet grandeur, framed by an expansive sky that seemed to stretch on forever.

The first photograph focuses on the flyover as it arcs gracefully above the rough earth shoulder. A battered yellow truck sits waiting at the far end, while a series of safety barriers painted in bold red punctuate the otherwise muted concrete. Above, the sky unfurls in soft shades of blue and gray, with the sun’s brilliance tempered by a thin veil of cloud. Wispy streaks of cirrus brush across the upper frame, while puffs of cumulus linger beneath them, giving the impression of a living, breathing ceiling. The combination of solid man-made lines below and the ever-changing heavens above reminded me of the delicate balance between human ambition and nature’s timeless beauty.

In the second frame, I shifted my vantage point slightly to include the Nalka Bridge itself, which spans a gentle bend in the road and beckons travelers onward. Beneath the bridge’s underside, a row of green auto-rickshaws waits patiently for passengers, their drivers lounging in the shade of a large banyan tree whose glossy leaves hang like a natural curtain overhead. A few hand-pulled carts and bicycles cluster around street-side tea stalls, where villagers sip chai and exchange gossip, their colorful umbrellas adding pops of crimson and cobalt to the earthy tones of pavement and concrete.

As a photographer, I’m always chasing contrasts—between light and shadow, stillness and motion, the geometric and the organic. These images brought together all those elements in one place. The clean lines of the flyover and bridge speak to progress and connection, yet the humble rickshaws, tea stalls, and unpaved frontage beside the road root the scene firmly in rural life. Above it all, the sky serves as both backdrop and subject, a reminder that no matter how much we build and change, the heavens always watch over us.

I hope these photographs convey the serene beauty I felt in that moment—a blend of earthy textures, industrious structures, and the ever-present sky. Even in transition from town to village, from concrete to dirt road there is a quiet poetry in the ordinary. Thank you for joining me on this brief roadside pause; may these images inspire you to look up, frame the sky, and appreciate the simple elegance of the world around us.
