Butterflies are the garden’s gentle dancers. They move lightly from one nectar bloom to the next. Their wings are pure moving artwork. Intricate patterns of orange, yellow, and deep blue stand out.

It is peaceful to watch a Monarch touch a coneflower. A Swallowtail drifts past the lavender with great grace. They stand for lightness and quick change. Their beauty adds a special feeling that lasts forever.

Then we have the dragonflies. They are a clear contrast with their fast flight skills. These ancient insects wear shining, jewel-toned armor. They dart and hover with incredible speed. Their transparent wings create a soft blur in the sunlight.

They patrol near the bird bath often. They swoop quickly to catch bugs we cannot see. Perched on a tall blade of grass, they look strong and elegant. They are the silent guardians of the garden area.

These winged guests connect my home to the wild heart of nature. They remind me that wonder is right outside my door. This simple observation brings a deep joy that enriches every single day.
