This song is a cultivation of emotions felt from me attending a church for the first time in over 10 years. It was on April 20, 2025. I noticed the one-sided ratio of women to men at the church. I noticed how most of the problems being prayed about were financial in nature. I noticed that the heads of the church, genuinely good people, had been incarcerated and spoke in that slang. I noticed that the the local government was heavily intertwined with the church. I remembered that those same officials were distributing hundreds of thousands of dollars among people who were already doing quite fine.

Later that day, I smoked with a friend. The friend asked me, "Have you ever considered making blues?" I hadn't really thought about it but I was in the mood to make some, so I created this song that same day.
