After the different versions Reparto Corsica presented in recent weeks, MV Agusta came to Milan with a new Brutale Dragster 800 RR. Aesthetic review, engine updated, the Italian is newer than it seems.

While MV Agusta did a lot of talking during the weeks leading up to Milan, we were not expecting anything new on the Italian stand at the time of the show. However, the Varese firm did not come empty-handed, and unveiled the Brutale Dragster 800 RR 2018.

At first glance, there is a new look for the Italian roadster. The front optics, LED lighting, is largely inspired by that found on the Brutale "classic", while the rear loop, even more minimalist, is unpublished. In this, the new Dragster 800 differs from the RC version of the 2017 vintage, revealed a few weeks ago.

Less noise for the 800 RR Dragster 2018

The Dragster 800 RR also sees its engine comply with the Euro 4 standard. Technically, the 3-cylinder in-line cube still has 800cc, and has lost nothing of the 140hp it was displaying when it was Euro 3. The developments are rather to be seen on the emissions side. Polluting first, with a 50% reduction, and then sound, with a noise reduction of 48%.

In addition to these changes imposed by regulations, MV has also refined its Dragster 800 RR 2018 including reviewing the implementation of the engine block in the chassis, in order to gain rigidity. The gearbox is completely new, and its handling via the clutch lever is softened.
