The Ground has become empty

This was a beautiful sight at one point of time for me from my balcony, but no more. Opposite my building there was a feeding ground for the birds. There are couple of restaurants there and they together had made arrangements to feed the birds. But then the Municipality guys came a few days back and they have instructed the restaurant guys to no more feed the birds on the site and keep the area clean. Pigeons would come here to feed themselves, and as we all know they are the messy birds. They were messing up the area but then this is their nature and we need to co-exist.

It was always a wonderful sight for me to see them in abundance and lots of white pigeons would come, especially in the winters. I have been living in this home for 5 years and have always watched them at any given time of the day, but not anymore. There are no food and water kept for them so they have stopped coming. Though I do see a couple of them and I guess they must be coming out of habit.
