For time being I think that BTC is the one that will lead the way as the real bitcoin both in price and reputation because it gets all of the media attention and that's what's going to motivate newcomers to buy it. They buy the hype. We all know that most of them will probably never go deeper into research to find out about the rivals and the benefits of using them instead of BTC.
