Twitter to ban ICO ads starting today
The popular social network Twitter will follow Google and Facebook's lead in banning cryptocurrency ads. Today, the press secretary of the company confirmed this information officially.
"Under this new policy, the advertisement of Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) and token sales will be prohibited globally."
Almost all start-ups used Twitter advertising as the main tool to promote their company and brought them tremendous profits.
Such "content" is very often associated with fraud, deception and misleading users of the social network, and there is impossible to track whether the project is a scam or a really worthy ICO.
How the situation will develop in the future only time will show, for now Bitcoin was trading near $8,000.!
