There's a storm brewing!

Blockchain technology is going to change the world. It is like being on the forefront of the dot.com's, Microsoft, or storage for computing- Qualcom, Rambus etc.

However, the US sure seems hesitant to accept the technology. Seems like everyone I talk to mentions that is only for criminals. Why don't people even want to acknowledge there is new exciting technology that will change how life runs. Just today read how Germany is using blockchain technology for powering electric cars.It will change banking, insurance, sales, communications...etc. But it sure seems like a well-kept secret to most folks in the US. Granted it isn't easy to understand, takes a lot of reading and research.

At first sounded like something from Star Trek...including shape shifting, inter planetary file systems, gas, etc. Maybe it is that most people need to be spoon-fed information, can't research and learn it for themselves, waiting for their brokers to educate them. Anyway, there is a storm coming and it's going to change our future. Hope you are on board.

Until very recently I thought similarly to those people about cryptocurrencies (I didn't even know that term! I had only heard of Bitcoin). Then I started researching avidly and becoming completely enamoured with the entire world. Having only been a stock investor to start, this whole concept of betting on the rise of an enirely new monitary system and completely new way of exchanging worth through technology has been challenging the way I grew up thinking about the world. We are at the forefront of the wheel being reinvented- or to ammend, we are the first spoke on an entirely new kind of wheel being formed. A non-corporeal tool that is at once currency and a pact between people who believe in the future. I can't wait to see how we terraform this new world!

Lockeed Martin just adoped blockchain technology for their own internal uses, so I would imagine we are at the cusp of an internet-like revolution. Many people distrusted the internet in the early days, had trouble grasping it, and it was indeed used for criminal activity (as it still is). But so are cars and smartphones, and we can no longer imagine a world without them.

So, a toast to the future!

Thanks for the reply. Love hearing Lockheed Martin is adopting blockchain technology. I agree one has to do lots of reading to get started in this new world.
