I'm just doing a short series on democracy for Adsactly. One of the 4 primary rating points for a historical democracy was the % of the population that was allowed to vote. England's first Parliament was elected by 3% of the population. Not good.

When you actually crunch the numbers, primary voters are about 5% of the general eligible population. Not good.

I've voted every time but two since I was 21. Both were single issue local special elections that I simply spaced out. I was drinking in those days and the space was crowded :)
