RE: installer, tiler, carpenter, kitchen installer, plumber ... they all come
Very nice and very exciting! I bet you guys are eager to just be in and have it all over with. Why are you going gasless? Here in the states the price is about the same. I really enjoy having my gas furnace. Especially in the Winter when my electric bill is $140 per month and my parents is $500 per month because they are electric baseboard heat with no gas. Just curious.
Very exciting indeed...can't wait to move in :) We are going gasless because of environmental development. In Holland the gasprice is raising rapidly. Electricty is cheaper when using the right gear. For instance the heatpump uses about 4000KWH a year on electricity, the solar panels we are installing creates about 8800KWH a year, so with our other electricity consumption we don't pay a thing for electricty and are self providing. In holland you pay for the gas but also for the connection to the gasnetwork. So even if we won;t use any gas but the connection remains, we have to pay about 350$ a year. So we remove the connection and save another 350$ a year :)
Okay, makes sense, I was just curious. I wondered if it was just more expensive over there. Now I know!
Gas is about 70 euro-cent a M3 and electricity about 21 euro-cent a KWh. The great thing, as long as it last, is that when you produce more solarpower then you use, you can deliver back to the net for the same price..
Very cool!
