Power Down Halted... Time to Get Back to It!

( a small screencap from Steempeak.com showing my powerdown halting )

Don't let the "Started power down" label on the above STEEM operation fool you.. In fact the very opposite has taken place and I'm glad to announce I've stopped powering down in order to attempt to increase my stake for the purposes of being able to give more rewarding upvotes to good content creators as well as having a greater capacity to fighting ass hats and rage flaggers as necessary.

Risk It for the Biscuit

As it sits STEEM is my only source of income and while my powerdowns of around 79 STEEM a week were basically all I was making I've decided that rather than relying on my stake to be powered down for income I'm going to triple down on working by coding and posting in order to try and make a somewhat respectable living.

This includes getting back to my roots and doing more fun MS-paint type posts and bringing humour back into everything I do. While the coding stuff in time will be my main bread and butter once I get the finishing touches on Steem-Roller.com and also get some of my other projects like Steem.Global and Streemit.Online up and running again ( right now I can't afford servers to get these online ). Seems that somewhere in the process of the last 3 years on STEEM I fell away from what made me happy in terms of creation and from there everything went down hill..

My witness rank is #78 at the time of posting this which allows me to create roughly 8 blocks a day resulting in roughly 9 STEEM per a day being added to my SP. The only reason I'll be re-enabling my power down is when I need to pay my witness server bills. Thanks to @someguy123 for helping me get back into being able to run a witness with a beautiful dedicated server from privex.io. I highly recommend their services as from what I've seen their service and uptime are both world class.

STEEM Prices Will Be OK

I've been seeing a lot of folks kind of whining about how STEEM is stagnant and that things aren't being done fast enough.. To that my reply is that if you're unhappy with the rate of progress you should probably learn how to code and come pitch in and help instead of bitching. As a developer myself it is easy to understand why things take so long to get correctly coded and updates pushed out..

Especially when you're pushing updates to a network with millions of dollars..!

We've got all types of development happening on both the STEEM source code and other services around it. The ecosystem is healthy albeit at a slow and steady pace and thus instead of complaining and bickering amongst ourselves we should be asking what we can do to help things along and going from their. At the end of the day it's going to be the work of a huge number of individuals that makes our STEEM ecosystem a wonderful place to communicate, do business and thrive upon.

Requesting Support For Future Development

Many of you that have been following both STEEM and my own story know that in order for them both to flourish they need support. Be it monetary, emotional or simply tossing out an indicator of backing for the activities currently being done behind the scenes to make our ecosystem better. Rome wasn't built in a day, coding isn't completed over night and what it boils down to is that unless the community is supportive of those who are attempting to bring value to the community it will in essence devour itself and cease to function properly if at all.

Remember that the next time you go to speak ill words about the teams or individuals that are spending their precious life hours trying to make things better for all of us.

If you'd like to support my development work please feel free to vote my witness by clicking the link supplied below, upvoting my posts on a regular basis or even just commenting something nice below. It all helps keep things moving forward. Thank you.
