Dream
Last night, I had a bad dream that left me feeling unsettled even after waking up. In the dream, I found myself lost in a strange, unfamiliar city. The streets were dark and empty, with flickering streetlights casting eerie shadows. No matter which way I turned, I couldn’t find my way home. The feeling of being trapped and helpless overwhelmed me, and I could hear faint whispers around me, but no one was there when I looked.
As I wandered, the city seemed to shift and change—buildings morphed into twisted shapes, and the sky darkened with heavy clouds. I tried to call out for help, but my voice was barely a whisper. Every step felt heavier, as if invisible weights were pulling me down. I felt an intense fear building inside, a panic that I couldn’t escape.
Suddenly, the ground beneath me started to crack, and I was falling into a deep, dark abyss. The fear became suffocating, and I struggled to breathe. Just when I thought I would be lost forever, I woke up with a start, my heart racing and sweat on my forehead.
That bad dream stayed with me throughout the morning. It made me realize how much our subconscious can affect our emotions and thoughts. Even though it was just a dream, the fear felt real, and it reminded me of times when I’ve felt lost or overwhelmed in real life. Sometimes, bad dreams reflect worries or stress we might not fully recognize when awake.
Despite the fear, I also see bad dreams as a reminder of our resilience. Even when we feel lost or scared, we have the strength to wake up and face a new day. Though bad dreams can be unsettling, they make the moments of peace and clarity feel even more precious.
