8 WATCH OUT THAT YOU DO NOT LOSE WHAT WE HAVE WORKED SO HARD TO ACHIEVE. Be diligent so that you receive your full reward.
9 ANYONE WHO WANDERS AWAY FROM THIS TEACHING HAS NO RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD. BUT ANYONE WHO REMAINS IN THE TEACHING OF CHRIST HAS A RELATIONSHIP WITH BOTH THE FATHER AND THE SON."
2 John 8,9 (NLT)

• Some of the steps to a true believer's fellowship; with fellow believers and mainly that with God the Father.

  • The first is the unity of believers. It is also known as oneness of the believers (Philippians 2:2-4; Hebrews 10:24,25).
  • Whilst the second one is the fellowshipping with God. Under this:
    a. Studying and application of the Word of God—the Bible—is the foundation of this fellowship which is with God (Joshua 1:8; James 1:22,25).
    b. Praying in tongues, in the Holy Spirit, added with it: "THE PERSON WHO TALKS IN TONGUES OF A DIFFERENT LANGUAGE DOES NOT TALK TO PEOPLE, BUT TO GOD. PEOPLE DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT HE SAYS. BUT HE IS SAYING SECRET THINGS BY THE SPIRIT" (1 Corinthians 14:2 Worldwide English (New Testament).

  • The fellowship between a husband and wife is based on the marriage relationship. Relationship precedes fellowship in the union of two people.
  • The fellowship makes a married life beautiful and colourful. Though, the marital law that binds a man and a woman together does not make or build fellowship.
  • A fellowship is established when a man and woman blended together into one; spiritually, physically, and mentally.
  • It is the unlimited fellowship or communion that brings happiness and joy into their home—their marriage relationship.
  • Thus, spiritually speaking, If there is no blending between a believer and the Holy Spirit, there cannot be a genuine fellowship with God the Father.
    a. To fellowship with God the Father, His Word should be number one in your life—you study and practice It (Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1:1-3; James 1:22-25).
    b. Through the Holy Spirit you commune with God and get to know His mind on whatever the matter at hand (John 14:26; 16:13-26).
    c. Obedience to every instruction given by God the Father will strengthen whatever fellowship you had with Him (Hebrews 11:8).

• God wants a sharing together with His children, who are loyal to Him or those who want to be deeper in their walk with Him.

  • God wants His children, those who are His, to bring their burdens to Him in conversational prayers (Hebrews 4:16).
  • God wants you to come to Him with your requests, present them to Him and let Him know why He has to do them—come with His Word to reason with Him about what you are asking (Isaiah 41:21).
  • In Relating with God, you do not come to Him when you have a need of something from Him alone; It has to be moment by moment fellowship—conversing as you go about your daily activities.
  • You must be ready to do His Will, make yourself available when He wanted or needed someone to be sent on an errand or assignment (Isaiah 6:8).
  • In fellowshipping with God, you give your best to Him, and He equally will give His best to you as well:
11 THIS TEACHING IS TRUE: IF WE DIED WITH HIM, WE WILL ALSO LIVE WITH HIM. 12 IF WE ACCEPT SUFFERING, WE WILL ALSO RULE WITH HIM. IF WE SAY WE DON'T KNOW HIM, HE WILL SAY HE DOESN'T KNOW US. 13 IF WE ARE NOT FAITHFUL, HE WILL STILL BE FAITHFUL, BECAUSE HE MUST BE TRUE TO WHO HE IS" (2 Timothy 2:11-13 New Century Version).
  • God has no permanent friendship but permanent interest. As long as your interest is in Him and His Kingdom, you are His friend, but when your interest is no longer in Him, your friendship with Him ended: "YOU ARE MY FRIENDS IF YOU DO WHATEVER I COMMAND YOU" (John 15:14 NKJV).
  • In walking with God, love is reciprocal! That is called a communion!
  • If I may ask:
    a. Are you in partnership with God?
    b. What are your contributions to enlarge His Kingdom on the earth?

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.

  • Should there be any ailment in your body, receive your healing now in Jesus' mighty name.
  • Hold of sickness or whatever that is not planted in your body is broken completely in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
    Peace!

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. As you took the steps A and B your name is written in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).

  • If you took the steps As highlighted above, congratulations, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!
