"I HAVE BEEN WITH YOU WHEREVER YOU HAVE GONE, and I have destroyed all your enemies before your eyes. NOW I WILL MAKE YOUR NAME AS FAMOUS AS ANYONE WHO HAS EVER LIVED ON THE EARTH!"
2 Samuel 7:9 (NLT)

God promises to make David's name famous. In other words, David's name would be made as one of the great men of the world.
God did make this promise because of David's heart towards Him. David wanted to build a temple for God, he had a good thought towards God and His Kingdom (2 Samuel 7:1-3).
What you think in your heart towards God and His Kingdom would determine His thought towards you.
The thought of your heart to God and His Kingdom would be honoured and rewarded, although, nobody sees it but God does.

When you have the privilege to do anything for God and His Kingdom,
you should know it in your heart that you are not helping God, but yourself indirectly.
Your work in God's vineyard is for your benefit, thus, there should be no bragging or having a sense of entitlement because of it.
Whatever you are doing in God's vineyard, you should not do it with the motive of having a special right or claim or privilege. After you have done whatever you are doing in God's Kingdom; you should always see yourself as an unprofitable servant: "SO LIKEWISE YOU, WHEN YOU HAVE DONE ALL THOSE THINGS WHICH YOU ARE COMMANDED, SAY, ‘WE ARE UNPROFITABLE SERVANTS. WE HAVE DONE WHAT WAS OUR DUTY TO DO' " (Luke 17:10 NKJV).
READ: 1 Corinthians 9:16

Although there is a reward for being faithful in whatever you are called or assigned to do, but you should not approach God's work with the mindset of making profit or being rewarded.
You humbly serve wherever you are assigned and leave the result and the reward with God to decide.
God would not shortchange your reward, deprive or give less than what you are due for, and neither would He give your reward to another person. God is not unrighteous to forget your labour of love in His vineyard; thus, do not strive or fight for your rewards in the work you do in God's vineyard—He knows and sees it (Hebrews 6:10).
However, when it seems that you are not being rewarded or blessed or taken care of, even when you think you are faithful in doing the work; the problem would be on your part and not God.
God is a Rewarder and not a User (Hebrews 11:6)!
Check your own end, because God is always right. He, God, is also not a man who should lie, whatever He promises to do He would surely make good (Numbers 23:19).

Another thing is that, God deals with His children individually and not collectively.
God would look at your heart in whatever you are doing in His kingdom on earth. If your services and offerings or seeds are not from a good heart, they would not be accepted (Genesis 4:3-7).
God considers the heart of whoever is working for Him or bringing an offering to Him.
The thought of your heart, the condition of your heart would determine whether the work you do in His vineyard or the seed or offering you are bringing would be accepted or not (Genesis 4:4-7).
God promises to bless David, make his name great because what he was doing regarding God and His Kingdom was done with a right and good heart—a sincere heart.
In relating with God, your heart is the focus of God, not your actions or deeds at all.

There are some believers who would desire the kind of grace or anointing or blessing on a particular minister, however, they would not know the extent of the minister's sacrifice towards the things of God and His Kingdom—the minister's heart towards the things of God.
If you are craving the kind of the anointing or grace or the material blessing in the life of a fellow believer or a minister, you should always ask yourself If you did have the kind of heart or passion that the person has for God and His Kingdom.
The truth is; God blesses those who have a good heart towards His work and Kingdom (2 Samuel 7:1-3).
• God is not partial in dealing with His children (Acts 10:34; Romans 2:11).
• God is a Father to those who come to Him through faith in Christ Jesus and He deals with us individually.
• He knows the limit of each child's of His and relates with each believer within the limit of the love-for-Him in the heart of every individual believer.
If you love God with all your heart and you are passionate about His Kingdom, He knows. Remember, you cannot hide your feelings, your thoughts and imaginations from God; they are laid bear before Him.
• God will not condone what is not right!
David won God's heart through the love he had for Him. Thus, you will get God's attention when you make Him number one in your life and in all you do.

Even the desires for good things towards God and His Kingdom, being talked about, are put in your heart by God Himself to begin with, thus, there should be no room for bragging (Philippians 2:13).
Your desires to serve God's interest, do good towards fellow humans and God's Kingdom, are put in your heart by God; because there is no one who is good to begin with—if anyone is good, God is the One who puts the thought to do good in the heart of the person (Matthew 19:16,17; Philippians 2:13).
The desire to propagate the Kingdom of God on earth, do good concerning the things of God, is planted in your heart by God Himself; thus, there is no room for bragging.
If you wanted to build for God, a church building or whatever you want to support, or you want to sponsor a programme or an outreach or a convention; you should go ahead and take a step now. You will surely be rewarded If you do that good thing in your heart for God and His Kingdom.
Peace!
