HIVE drains, BLURT gains

The rotation of HIVE into BLURT continues! The trend I posted about recently has accelerated, with BLURT trading higher against HIVE than it has in years. Many whale investors are putting in large buy orders, while countless smaller buyers seem to indicate bloggers setting up on Blurt in great numbers.

The hourly chart shows huge resistance at 0.0113 was finally broken today, and the chart continued its upward climb. The bleed from HIVE into BLURT is gaining momentum. There's still a long way left to go, but the first stages are well underway.

But this didn't start in the last few weeks - here's the last 60 days:

BLURT has also steadily gained on HIVE over the past 12 months. On all recent timeframes, HIVE is losing ground to BLURT, and the trend is accelerating.

For example, let's compare the price action of some related cryptos over the past month:

Separately:

Bitcoin surged to a new all-time high (123,000 USD) a few weeks ago, but has consolidated sideways since, while the altcoins lagged at first and then did better.

BTC appears to be rotating into the altcoins, something seen in previous alt-seasons. But some altcoins are doing better than others...

BLURT's doing really well in the past couple weeks, and HIVE is one of the worst performers over the same time period... hmmm... Call me crazy, but I think those 2 facts are related!

Today (7 Aug 2025) both BLURT and HIVE gained against the USD, but it was BLURT that gained most. The largest market trading that pair is Hive-Engine, where volume has been heavy, and price discovery shows BLURT trading at 0.0114 HIVE, up from 0.0087 HIVE in May, a gain of more than 30%.

History

What was going on exactly one crypto cycle (4 years) ago? Here's the 2021 price data, starting in early August and going to November:

The price was the same as it is today, $0.0025 USD. A few months later, it was over $0.04 USD, a x20 move. And that's without help from HIVE bleeding out and sending users and investors our way.

It looks like BLURT could be ready to blow up, and we're here for it!
