Powering down and moving some BLURT to Probit
Things are changing quickly around Blurt lately. Delisted from Probit, relisted on Probit, and a community call to action to start using (or losing) Probit! So I've decided to give it a try! I'm going to power down my BLURT and hold it liquid for now, so that:
- I can participate in the push to use Probit and keep our token supported.
- I'm able to sell some of my stake for profit (for the first time in 7.5 years of full-time grinding) if alt-season is good to us.
- I can pitch in to other projects being suggested right now, like...
Ken (aka @agorise, aka the developer of our video platform BlurtMedia) has an idea for how Blurt can become even more independent of crypto exchanges, called MBridge. You may have already heard mention of it in recent community posts. I hear it would cost us $12k ($4 monthly for 3 months) but permanently upgrade our ecosystem and marketplace. I'm hoping to learn more about it, and possibly help fundraise if we deem it worth pursuing.
So my 1.3 million BP will be powered down completely in 4 weeks. I'll have 1/4 of it in 7 days. I can then decide to use it, hold it, or power it back up at no cost. The only loss for me is a small drop in growth (reduced curation rewards) while I'm holding liquid. But the potential upsides, flexibility, and options are large. So here we go!
To those who have supported me thus far, thank you. I'm not going anywhere. To those who I have supported, have no fear, I'll keep curating your content. The magnitude may dwindle temporarily, but that's not because I think any less of your content! Keep up the great work.
For the record, my BP now at its peak is 1,305,000. I also have about 12,000 in my wife's wallet, and I have incoming delegations of almost 33,000 BP. That combines for a total vote power of 1,350,000 BLURT. If it returns to the prices seen routinely during the previous bull market 4 years ago, my wallet will be worth $60k USD.
Probit
I decided to give it a shot, and it was easier than expected, so I'll do a quick primer.
Want to move some BLURT tokens to the Probit exchange? This helps our daily transaction volume. It also sets you up for having an exit strategy for the future. You can also use Probit to trade BLURT for other cryptocurrencies, send to other wallets, etc.

Now, you can bring some of your BLURT over to your Probit account...
~ click the Deposit button
~ select BLURT from the dropdown menu
~ copy deposit address (probitblurt) and provided tag/memo over to a transfer in your BLURT wallet
~ minimum amount is 220 BLURT
~ send
I did 1000 BLURT. It was in my Probit account within a minute, and there was no fee.
Apparently you can trade up to a certain amount ($5000 per day?) without giving your government ID. I have not done any actual trading (such as to BTC) yet, nor have I withdrawn from the exchange yet. But so far, I find it pretty good, and at least worth further investigation. Maybe you've been thinking of trying it out? I've shown you that it's pretty easy, and doesn't require you to provide much more than an email address.
This is also a potential avenue for buying BLURT, should you have some BTC or fiat currency you'd like to invest at this price.

A nonstop draining from HIVE into BLURT for more than a year now, with major accelerations in the last few months. Currently testing the 0.0115 resistance level!
BTC just hit a new all-time high of 124,000 USD yesterday, before dropping on the news that the USA will not be adding more to its "strategic reserve" for now. But the altcoins are looking ready to run, so get your ducks in a row! I am powering down to be ready for anything over the next few months, and support important efforts here on our blockchain.
