Bollywood Star Salman khan On Jail
Salman Khan, one of India's biggest stars, has been sentenced to five years in a black deer hunting case.
Salman Khan, who was convicted in this case in 1998, will have to stay in Jodhpur Central Jail. 52-year-old Salman Khan spent five nights in this jail in 2006. The prosecution had approached the court with a plea for strict punishment for Salman Khan.
Police had told that Salman Khan was taken directly to the jail and he has been allotted. A police officer said, "Salman Khan will remain in Barrack No.-2, this is the same barrack in which Asaram Bapu has been kept." Barrack No-2 has been arranged for security reasons as gangster Lawrence Bishnoi is also closed. The 52-year-old actor has also been fined Rs. 10,000 for hunting the rare antelopes in forests near Jodhpur while filming "Hum Saath Saath Hain" in 1998. His bail request will be heard tomorrow.
His co-stars in the movie, Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam Kothari, have been acquitted for lack of evidence.
