“The First Published Bible – History”

Greetings fellow explorers of creative thought:

In 1450 to 1492, Johann Gutenberg created one of the first collections of religious documents called the Christian Bible. By using movable types, he translated the contents of this doctrine from Latin to German and into one concise book.

After his publication, this Bible was further translated into several languages all over the world and many different interpretations of the original book were developed. These translations conveyed the meaning of the original Christian doctrine through different cultural perspectives and languages.

ARTISTIC CONCEPT OF THE GUTENBURG BIBLE

Although the general consensus of a One God belief remained the same for Jews, Christians and to some extent Muslims, the Catholics claim that they developed the first version of the canon that was written in Latin at the council of Nicaea. By communing with six holy scribes from the twelve tribes of Israel, seventy-two learned scribes formed the select council of Nicaea. A claim that remains controversial among theologians and scholars of the Jewish, Christian and Islamic faiths.

Other known bibles include the Greek Orthodox, the Coptic, the Russian Orthodox, Lutheran, Calvin and numerous other denominations who developed their own bibles. The Coptic bible became the longest of the written bibles because it included ‘The Book of Enoch.’ Called the Ethiopian bible of 88 books combined are chronicled from the Ethiopian Orthodox Teowahedo Church.

Then there is The Bible of all Bibles published in 1879 by Kersey Graves, about the 27 Divine Revelations which site the exposition of two thousand biblical errors in science and biblical history.

According to recent scientific data 2024, The Roman Catholic church is the largest Christian church with approximately 1.39 billion followers that traces its history to Jesus Christ and the Apostles. Founded in 30 A.D. they developed a highly sophisticated theological and organizational structure led by the papacy with absolute monarchial powers that reaches Catholic congregations all over the world.

The Vatican City in Rome is the only religious body that sits on the board of the United Nations and has a vote. Roman Catholicism differs from other Christian churches in many ways. In Roman Catholicism, a saint is a holy person who is known for his or her “heroic sanctity”, who serve as intermediaries to God that followers could pray to for spiritual understanding and assistance. These saints are a diverse group of people who dedicated their lives to the loving pursuit of God that serve in direct communication with him. Magnificent churches in Europe and many countries are built to magnify the glory of God with sanctimonious statues, artistic paintings and frescos coupled with acoustics that echo the beautiful harmony of the homilies as part of the church’s divinity. Over the centuries, these churches served as holy sanctuaries for believers of the faith where sinners can repent and confess their sins and be at peace with God.

With the expansion of the Christian religious scriptures, according to recently published scientific data in 2024, it’s estimated that 33.3% of Christians of all denominations represent the number of religious believers in the Christian Bible; these do not include the Islamic doctrine that derived from the line of Abraham through his first son Ishmael with Hagar; also, the Islamic faith accept many Christian and Hebrew prophets, including Jesus, into their doctrine but does not view Jesus as their savior or son of God.

That means out of 8 billion people recorded living on earth, two thirds of the population have their own perceptions and religious concepts and beliefs about Gods that are different from the Hebrew/Christian/Muslim theology. An important fact to consider is that although most of the Christian religions are in the new world especially in the European countries, many wars are continuously being fought between Christians of the same faith and Moslems who also believe in one God, Allah.

As an observation, although religion offers much hope and divine guidance to the human purpose, due to the scriptural dogma of various denominations, it has created many divisions in the perception of the faith and these divisions are seen in viciously fought wars throughout the history of all religions.
