All That Glitters Is Not Gold......But 😁............. NW Cascade Wanderings

…….some things are!

No, not the ridiculously drenched Swarovski jeweled frame but this…..

Pamp Suiss is a well known mint located in Ticino, Switzerland. I asked Grok about them. This is the response I got:

PAMP Suisse, officially known as Produits Artistiques Métaux Précieux, is a world-renowned precious metals refinery based in Ticino, Switzerland. Founded in 1977, it has become one of the leading independent refiners of gold, silver, platinum, and palladium, known for its high-quality bullion products and innovative designs. PAMP is part of the MKS PAMP Group, which includes MKS Switzerland, a global precious metals trading company.

Pamp Suiss was founded in 1977 and was primarily focusing on small bars and alloys for jewelry and watch making. They are a major presence in the precious metals industry with mining operations and bullion production.

We took an opportunity to take some inflation devalued fiat currency and trade it for this…..

We discovered that Costco sells gold and at a better price than online retailers and local coin shops! So, I went online and ordered it. Costco is very prompt!

It resides in a sealed ingot card. The reverse side houses the Liberty Bell. It is attractively done with some nice detailing with the year 1753 on each side. Down at the bottom, it states, “proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof”.

The obverse……

….indicates the purity of 999.9 fine gold, the assayer’s number, the Pamp Suiss logo and of course, the weight. Back around 2007-2008, I had to go to Federal Way for a management meeting. @silvertop tagged along and while I was up to my eyeballs in corporate optical matters, he was out walking the streets. He happened upon a jewelry store that had this………

While looking, he asked how much? He purchased it for $750.00! This just shows some of the potential for increase in value that gold can have.

Sweet! 😎👍😁

Fiat currency will continue to be printed causing more inflation and less spending power. Gold is real money and will hold better value. This Liberty Bell one ounce gold bar represents gold we’d be willing to part with, should a need arise. It’s our ‘cash’ if you will.

We also happen to have a Pamp Suiss Palladium one ounce bar as well.

As of this writing, it’s currently valued at $1067.00 per ounce.
We purchased it for $500.00!

If you’re in the market for some gold, check out Costco. Some stores may have it in stock, but mostly online. You would need to check to see.

That’s gonna be it for now. Take care, have a great weekend and enjoy the rest of your day wherever you are! 🙏🌎🙏

👣🐑☕️🌞😎👍😁🌜🌙🥱😴

NKJV Haggai 2:8-9

‘The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ says the LORD of hosts. The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the LORD of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the LORD of hosts
