As usual, it's the middlemen. The farmer gets 8 to 10 dollars per kilo, then it ends up in the shop at 60 or 70 dollars or more.
Expensive considering it is not fresh anymore after three days on the shelf, still a wagyu beef.
Yes, Wagyu is considered a luxury here in Australia. Most people cannot afford it.
