This initiative was created to regularly burn STEEM whilst maintaining your curation rewards.
The accounts @butnitalldown, @burnitalldown01, @burnitalldown02, @burnitalldown03, @burnitalldown04, @burnitalldown05, @burnitalldown06, @burnitalldown07, @burnitalldown08, @burnitalldown09 and @burnitalldown10 were created for this purpose.
So this is just the beginning of an amazing, almost develish plan, isn't it?
It could work... the "other chain" runs daily posts like this and the post + 8-10 burn comments typically burns about 800-1200 tokens per day. It adds up, after a while.
It'll be interesting to see whether any of the really big curation accounts care enough about their investments to throw at least one daily 100% upvote at this... because that's what it takes to make a difference. If they turn out to be too greedy to give up one vote a day to secure the future of Steemit (and their stake) this will be difficult to achieve much impact with.
