Thank you soo much @kouba01 for organising this challenge.I am happy to making sure my regular participation in community world tour challenge so this last challange about idiomatic expression and proverb is really interesting so here in my post i tried my best to be as detailed as possible!

Creativity,interpretation/idiom presentation originality

Idiom is basically a phrase or expression which meaning is figurative and actual meaning seems to be different from words of idiom like idiom Break a leg meaning saying Good luck but here let me share the idiom I have choosed to share in my local language which is Punjabi and Urdu but idiom is basically originated from Lahore city located in province Punjab of Pakistan as I heard about this idiom first time from my grandfather who born in Lahore city and he was used to say this idiom in Punjabi language as;

Beli hunda Nahi Hr Hath Milan aala

Urdu is also my local language but in actual this phrase is famous due to Punjabi language.Although in urdu same idiom may be translated as;

Dost hota Nahi hr hath milanay wala

For making your understanding more clear about a complete phrase it may translated in English as;

Not everyone who greets you is a friend

I would like to delve into depth of originality and origin of idiom presentation but first I would like to tribute all true friends through a touch of creativity by singing song in my voice for friends!

A creative tribute through a song for those who are genuinely friends

My grandfather is not alive but his name was Muhammad Rafique who died in age of 79 years.He was a great person and when he died then I was in 9th class and at that time he was used to give me moral lessons through Idioms,phrases in mother of local language which was Punjabi and from all moral lessons and idioms at which he emphasize was about friendships.

I never understand about these idioms at that time because according to my age I have not experienced friendships more closely at that time and he always said me that life is a combination of ups and downs so sometimes it seems very colorful when time runs in our favour and sometimes it seems very dull when time don't runs in our favour.

Beli hunda Nahi Hr hath Milan aala I understand first time when I was in my 10th class then one of my friend whom I considered my best friend deceived me and at that time she breaks my trust and then my grandfather was not alive but I understood that really the things that your ancestors says are not able to be neglected because the idioms,phrases have link with your heritage which your ancestors says based on their experiences and we understand these idioms, sayings with time to time when we get practical experiences of all these things.

Cultural value and depth of heritage link

This traditional idiom which in English is "Not everyone who greets you is a friend" is really holding a significant cultural value in Pakistan most specifically in Punjabi heritage.

Cultural Significance

• In culture of Punjab,Lahore people greet everyone with hospitality so here it's a revered virtue and some time it may also interpreted as friendship by others.
• In culture of Punjab being gentle and polite with someone is also considered as a social etiquette even with acquaintances which may a leading cause of superficial relations.
• True friends according to Punjab culture are considered very loyal and trustworthy so this idiom is also significant for highlighting trust and loyalty importance in relationships.

Link with Punjabi heritage

• Punjabi heritage have a lot of link with idiom Beli hunda Nahi Hr Hath Milan aala because there are thousands of sayings, idioms and proverbs in Punjabi culture I have heard about wisdom, life, friendships etc from which one more about friendship is that Dost ohi jehre mosibat vich Kam aavan which may be translated in English as A friend in need is a friend indeed

• Usually in Punjabi culture family ties are found to be very significant so this idiom is a caution against taking everyone at face value.
• This idiom have link with Punjabi heritage in a way that people of Punjab in past uses this idiom practically for getting cautious from fake friendships and as a result this idiom affects people of Punjab mentality in a way of being more careful in making relationships.

Link with heritage in terms of application of idiom in daily life

• This idiom was applied by people of Punjab in past and still it's in implementation so that people may be able to build trust gradually and wisely on others rather than trusting someone just in one time and assuming everyone their friend.

• Idioms practical implementation created stronger heritage link as well helped in avoiding exploitation by warning against exploit hospitality and kind behaviour of others and hence opened a way of developing genuine relationships.
• Although true and genuine relationships is a blessing that's why this idiom encourages everyone for nurturing true friendship important for growing personally and emotionally together in life.

"Not everyone who greets you is a friend" is an idiom which is rooted in Pakistani Punjabi culture in depth as you can see that where it can be applied in our culture,in practical life and where it is linking with heritage so in this way it is going to emphasize significance of trust, loyalty, and discernment in relations.

My invented proverb/visual metaphor

Enemies are much better than those who pretend to be friends

This is showing a sketch or a cycle that in friends almost one friend behaves as a positive character and other behaves as a negative character.Later on everything expose in time of need that who is sincere friend and who is a friend just by name and hence this cycle repeats.

Wow, @destinydreamer, your post truly touched me. 🌟 The way you connected your grandfather’s wisdom to real-life experiences is so heartfelt and relatable. “Beli hunda Nahi Hr Hath Milan aala” is such a deep idiom, and honestly, it speaks volumes, especially in a time where trust is so fragile.

I love how you explored the cultural background and showed us how this proverb isn’t just words, it’s lived wisdom passed down through generations. Your story from 10th grade really brought the meaning home. It's beautiful how these idioms mature in meaning as we grow and go through life.

Also, your creative touch with the drawing and the voice note added so much originality!

Out of curiosity, have you ever found a moment where this idiom helped you avoid a mistake before it happened?

Looking forward to reading more from you! ✨💬

I am happy to have such an encouraging comment from you and yes many times at our teenage we think that whatever idioms or sayings are linked with ancestors are just implemented in old times but with time we actually know that importance of that sayings that these are not at all worthless!

I am happy that you enjoyed my singing and more touch of creativity and originality in my post...
Yes not in start but later on I learnt from this idiom and I implemented it in my life before loosing something more in life but no problem I believe that we always learns from mistakes so it's a part of learning journey

I will continue creating quality content

Good luck 🤞

Idioms are always rooted in deep knowledge and sure we do make mistake in life but we learn from them.

Exactly 💯
I agree with you

Hi @destinydreamer.
I agree with this proverb that Not everyone who greets you is a friend because the real meaning of the friendship is really very change. A friend is one who not only shares in a person's happiness but also shares in their sorrow. And we should be aware of such friends who have oily tongue. And your creativity is really very appreciable and I'm wishing you success.
