Chickpeas | 150 grams |
Cucumber | Hallf cup |
Tomato | Half cup |
Bell pepper | 1/4th cup |
Onion | 1/4th cup |
Paprika | Half tablespoon |
Honey | 3 tablespoons |
Olive oil | 3 tablespoons |
Vinegar | 1 tablespoon |
Salt | Half tea spoon |
Black pepper | 1/4th teaspoon |
This is an image I have taken while chopping tomato,bell pepper, cucumber,onion.
I take black chickpeas simply in a bowl for preparation of salad.
I added chopped bell pepper in black chickpeas.
Here I am adding chopped cucumber in bowl which are in more quantity than bell pepper.
Here I am adding chopped tomatoes and onions in bowl as another ingredient.
This is you can see that I am adding black pepper in quantity of pinches in salad.
I have just added 1 tablespoon of vinegar in salad as you can see above.
Now I am adding 2-3 teaspoon of honey in salad.You can change it's quantity according to your taste.
Now I am adding paprika powder and salt for adding more richness and flavor in salad.
At last I add olive oil in 2-3 teaspoons for adding good texture in salad.
This is final look of salad after mixing it and keeping it at rest for 30 minutes with current date and username

Yes!I have tried chickpeas salad many times.In fact when I feel that I am gaining weight then I include chickpea salad in my one time meal because this salad is high in proteins and vitamins that are essential for out body and that help me in filling my tummy without building fatty deposits in my body.
Chickpea salad is one of most delicious and refreshing meal containing common ingredients including chickpeas, tomato , cucumber,herbs(Most commonly parsley)as well as other seasonings according to your own choice.Because of combination of all these ingredients flavor of recipe was bit tangy, herby,salty because of chickpeas and little salt as well as sweet because of honey I have added.So yes overall this salad meet my expectations as I have tried it before many times!
Chickpea
These are rich in protein as I have told before as well as rich in fibres which are helpful for keeping our digestive system healthy and for our food digestion.Folate, zinc and potassium are also present in chickpea in high amounts that are important for normal hormonal regulation in our body.Antioxidants present in chickpea are helpful in lowering cholesterol that support heart health.
Cucumber
These are important in keeping our body hydrated because they are high in water content as well as their low calorie content and high fibre content are responsible for management of weight for those who want to loose excess body fat.Cucumbers also contains high amount of vitamin C and antioxidants which helps in promoting heart health and fibre content is helpful in making digestion process fast.
Bell pepper
Bell pepper are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants so these are helpful in making immune system healthy.There are many anti inflammatory compounds also present in bell pepper which are helpful in reducing inflammation in body and it is also helpful in supporting eye health.
Onion
Onions are high in quercetin which is an antioxidant that removes excessive fats and cholesterol from body so support cardiovascular system.Onion also have anti inflammatory compounds so reduce swelling in body and prebiotic are also rich in onion which removes bad bacteria from body

Following are some special tips that you can keep in mind while making this salad 🥗:
• In case you use canned chickpeas then you should drain and rinse it properly so that excessive amounts of sodium may get removed.
• If you are using parsley as a herb then it should be fresh because it will add beauty and freshness in your salad.
• Almost all ingredients will be used in chopped form but over chopping shouldn't be done to avoid mushy look of salad.
• Use suitable dressing for chickpeas salad like overpowering dressing including blue cheese may clash with chickpeas flavor and it wouldn't taste good.
• Let the salad rest for at least 30 min after making and before serving so that ingredients may mix well with each other and it may give a smooth texture.

These chickpeas are in dark brown or black colour.Here in my area these are available in black as well as in white colour but I have used the black one for making this recipe 😂
Yes I enjoy chickpeas pulao as it's my favourite!and many other recipes made with chickpea in which there are chickpeas pudding as well people enjoy roasted chickpeas with tea in my area!
