I am happy to take part in this challenge which is all about sharing one of the most famous coleslaw salad made with my most favourite ingredients so let me share step by step procedure about making this recipe.

How to make coleslaw salad

Ingredients

Cabbage40 gram
Carrot30 gram
Apple20 gram
Lemon juice1 tablespoon
Mustard sauce1 teaspoon
Mayonnaise2 tablespoons
Black pepper2 pinch
Salt2 pinch

First I cut cabbage, carrot and apple in Julien shape one by one in quantities mentioned above.Then I prepare salad's dressing.

I take mayonnaise and add mustard sauce,black pepper, lemon juice and salt in it and then mix it well untill it gives a homogeneous mixture and you can see a smooth texture of dressing is ready.

Take a bowl and add cabbage which is only light green in colour as purple 🟣 cabbage in my area is unavailable now a days.

I add Julian cuts of carrots in cabbage as second step of preparation.

Finally before dressing I add apples in it.

Now it's a time to mix veggies.

I basically eat coleslaw salad as a side dish 😋 and it was so yummy because before preparing this salad I enjoyed lentils soup with boiled eggs so in my lunch I decided to take it as side dish because I have to prepare grilled chicken with bread for night so it was important to add fibre in diet that's why I take it as side dish in my lunch.

Coleslaw salad also play a complementary role most of time in diet for providing a refreshing contrast in daily nutrition.It is also important for digestion of heavy protein main courses.One important thing is that coleslaw salad digest easily so it may not fill your tummy for longer that's why it should be taken as side dish with main course so that you may not feel hungry after having it.

Following are some special tips you may follow if you are going to make coleslaw salad;

• It is always important to use fresh vegetables including cabbage carrot and apple because if vegetables will not be fresh then it will give a very soggy,soft flavour which will not feel good at all because coleslaw salad should always be crunchy.
• Shredding of cabbage, carrots and apple properly is always important because in coleslaw salad dressing should be coated deeply in all veggies.
• It is important to choose type of dressing you are using in coleslaw salad like it should not be very acidic and should not be much sweeter so always choose a dressing having 20% acidic,50% salts and 30% sweet ingredients.
• Try to choose different colours of cabbage for enhancement of beauty of your salad so that as end result it may look very appetiting.
• Avoid over refrigerating coleslaw salad because if dressing including mayonnaise and cream will start to get freeze then crystals will start to form and it will look very sticky as well water will start to come out from salad which will spoil look as well as taste of salad so refrigeration for 30 minutes is enough.
• Avoid using extra spices in coleslaw salad because it should be creamy in texture, shouldn't be spicy at all.
