Look into the fire stick as you will be shocked at what is available. The App is Cyberflix and Mobdro.Mobdro has around 150-160 sports channels including all the American ones. It also has the normal tv channels as well so you actually don't need anything else.
I have Roku's on every TV in my house along with a Plex media server in my basement.
We have 3 fire sticks and every tv is set up on one. Have a look at these apps as you are computer literate and will know how to work it. If you get stuck my son in law will help you get it set up as he did all of these ones.
