RE: #001 - MUST Read Business Books for Entrepreneurs

in #business8 years ago

Maybe its just me, but I don't get bogged down reading too many books about entrepreneurial topics. Even though I have been running my own companies for years, I let the propeller-heads do the numbers and I focus on why I started the business. I studied business practices both in uni and separate courses, so I have the basics. However, my businesses, both past and present, were/currently exist because I liked the industry. I know that I can hire people for specialist tasks, and can also talk their lingo. Focusing on my specialty was why I was able to survive, and I didn't read books about that. I listened to experts, but didn't pick up a book.
I am just speaking from my own experience. I am not dissing books.

Thanks for your comment - we all learn in different ways and it looks like you sussed a common problem early on in finding people who can do the work. This is where many entrepreneurs get bogged down "trying to do the doing themselves"!
