INDEED and they are strong enough to hold the hammocks as well. :-)
building a watertight roof could be a bit of a challenge on that shape, but with a bit of collective brainpower that could actually be a fun project.
If you check the roofs of some English houses,or even in the Philipines we use coconut leaves or hay...making it water-tight can be played on.
@walkofhope planned to build an artists' accomodation cum workshop on the ground floor at the #dagsa here in the Philippines. Loads of bamboo there mate.

I honestly dunno what shape..it was mentioned though that bricks roofing from the Northern Philippines will be used to prevent water leaks.
They have been celebrating today so perhaps i will know more in the next couple of days. can't wait.
