P2: Parking lot horror. What's a girl like you doing in a parking lot like this?steemCreated with Sketch.

If you've been a fan of my blog then you know that I occasionally review horror movies. I was recommended this one because I watched Saw.

P2 is a movie that I had literally never heard of. However, the reviews on IMDb weren't too bad. It's rating was 5.9. Given the way the reviews tend to work on IMDb 5.9 is actually pretty good for a horror movie.

I decided that I'd check it out.

So without further ado, here's my review.

First of all, I have to say that P2 is a very straightforward movie.

Let me ask you a question.

What is the parking attendant thinking when you go out to your car?

You've just gotten off of work after a very long day, come down the stairs, and entered into the parking lot. You're about to leave. What sorts of thoughts are going through the mind of the parking lot attendant?

The truth is that you don't know. The parking lot attendant could be thinking all kinds of things. That's the beauty of movies like this. Human nature is really hard to pin down.

Maybe he's thinking about how nice all of you rich folks working in that nice building have it while he sits down in his little lonely room at the bottom of the basement of the parking lot.

Maybe he's thinking about doing something about that.

The tagline.

A businesswoman is pursued by a psychopath after being locked in a parking garage on Christmas Eve.

The storyline on IMDb tells a bit of a different tale though.

Let's just say the word buxom is used a couple of times. It seems that this serial killer has a particular target in mind.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like this movie because it seems like it doesn't really have much going on in the way of plot.

I mean there's got to be a certain suspension of disbelief, and you know that these security guards that they hire for the parking lot attendant job are definitely vetted quite well.

It seems kind of unlikely that a serial killer would be able to get the job there. It also seems unlikely that the police would be so incompetent when it comes to try to figure things out. It also seems unlikely....well you kind of get the point.

Having said that, the guy playing the serial killer does a fantastic job of coming across as a person that believes what he says, and does what he thinks is right even though it's completely wrong.

He also strikes me as a dead ringer for Jake Gyllenhaal.

This isn't a particularly scary movie unless you're afraid of getting trapped in a situation like this.

I will say that the movie looks really good. The colors really pop, and the atmosphere is great. All of the characters absolutely nail their roles.

If you're looking for a thriller and you haven't got anything to watch, I don't really think you can go wrong with this one.

P2.

If I were you I wouldn't stay too late at the office.

You never know what the parking lot attendant might be thinking. If he's thinking that he wants to watch a horror movie though.... you might recommend him this one.

Check it out.

I feel my eyes may be looking not at the red axe, but something else!

I'm not sure what you could be talking about.
